Jason Semler is 4th generation on this farm. Starting his career at 6 years old picking rocks, He became the grain buyer for the grain company in 2009 and soon took over management of the grain side. In 2018 he initiated the truck/equipment sales branch and has since lead operations as sales manager. Jason is a licensed journeyman mechanic and has a passion for buying and selling heavy equipment.

Born and raised near Barrhead, Lance started his career as a mechanic in Edmonton, rebuilding diesel engines for 24 years. He then managed a truck wash for 5 years. Lance continues to run his family farm that he grew up on.

Chris brings a strong mix of sales expertise and industry experience to Semlers. He began his career in Germany with sales training through Ford and Jaguar before continuing in sales roles with Volkswagen in Canada and in the cabin and sauna industry.
Chris spent over a year as a long-haul truck driver, giving him a practical understanding of the trucking industry and the challenges drivers face. Today, he uses both his sales knowledge and real-world perspective to help customers find the right heavy-duty trucks and equipment for their needs.

Simon brings 15 years of experience in heavy-duty construction equipment sales. He began his career with Finning Caterpillar in Prince George, completing an 18-month sales internship in just six months before spending nine years in General Line Sales. Simon then joined Great West Equipment, expanding his expertise in General Line and Forestry Sales. He is passionate about the industry and building strong, long-term relationships with his customers.

Born in Canada, raised in Ecuador, Nicholas has spent a majority of his life connecting customers to heavy equipment around the world. He helps international buyers navigate the entire purchasing process—from selecting the right equipment to coordinating shipping and export requirements. With a strong focus on communication and customer service, Nicholas makes buying from Semlers straightforward, wherever in the world our customers are located.

Markus helps customers secure financing for equipment purchased at Semlers — or even elsewhere. He joined Semlers in 2012 as a truck driver, transitioned to Grain Buyer in 2017, and moved into administration in 2019. In 2025, Markus stepped into his current finance role, where his diverse background and hands-on industry experience make him a perfect fit.

Jen Kerstane joined operations in 2012 as administrator in accounts receivables and payables. She also works with financers and customers, aiding in the completion of sales/purchases.

Stefan began working at Semler Farms in 2018 as a mechanic. In 2020 moved to parts, and is now parts manager. Stefan ensures all required parts and projects are moving efficiently and ordered on time.

Isaak joined the company in January 2023. Isaak’s entire career has been focused on the repair of trucks and equipment. Before joining Semler Farms, he spent 10 years at Kenworth as a tech and 5 years as foreman.

Tyler is our Off-Road Foreman and a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician with over 12 years of industry experience. He spent 5 years with North American Construction Group, working on major mine sites like Suncor, Syncrude, Aurora, Fort Hills, and Kearl Lake. From water pumps to 797 haul trucks, Tyler brings expert knowledge and hands-on skill to every job.

With many years spent between the grain industry and construction, Pieter’s knowledge of and experience has proven a great asset as he manages construction projects on Semler Farms while buying and selling grain to customers.

Chris, originally from Quebec, joined Semler’s in January 2022 as Grain Merchant and Logistics Coordinator for the grain operations, ensuring trucks ran smoothly and on schedule. As the company evolved, so did Chris’s role. He has since transitioned into Parts Delivery, stepping in where needed most. Chris enjoys meeting new customers every day and takes pride in providing reliable, friendly service across the region.
